I recently stayed at Central Plaza in Port Douglas and had an amazing experience. The apartments were clean, spacious, comfortable, and very well maintained, making our stay extremely enjoyable. One of the highlights of the trip was the pool area. The pool was a lot of fun and was the perfect place to relax and cool off. I also really enjoyed the barbecue facilities near the pool. It was a great area to cook, eat, and spend time with family and friends in a relaxing environment. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. The location was excellent, and everything about the hotel made our holiday even better. I highly recommend Central Plaza to anyone visiting Port Douglas. It is a fantastic place to stay, and I would definitely love to come back in the future.

Where to start – there are so many excellent elements to this apartment. Firstly, it is in a great location, able to walk to the beach and to the shops and restaurants. We had a hire car but did not use it in town at all as we love to walk everywhere. Secondly, the managers are so friendly, helpful and accommodating which made our weeklong stay very pleasant. We had a three bedroom renovated apartment for our family of two adults and three teenage boys. It was spacious, clean and comfortable. The beds were great, we had a full-size fridge & appliance which were great for self catering, a washing machine and lots of room for everyone to relax. We had undercover parking on site which was great to be able to park in shade on hot days. Our apartment had a lovely outdoor area that was private and secure. The apartment worked brilliantly and was used non-stop during the day, we relied on fans at night (our preference) and stayed cool. And then we come to the pool – it was a highlight of our stay! Large, clean, with lovely tropical plants around it, it was such a great place to cool off on a hot day and even to have a swim after dinner as it is open until 930pm. The spa was slightly warmer and lovely to sit in when the bubbles were running. Highly recommend Central for an affordable, comfortable apartment close to everything that you need. We would definitely stay again.

We made a booking at this property for 2 units via booking.com which was confirmed by the property. It has subsequently been cancelled by the property with no alternatives given. Reason given was that the units are privately owned and the owner rescinded the managers authority to accept the booking after we were booked - I don't understand if the unit is in the letting pool that they can just cancel at will. Not very professional - wouldn't attempt to use this property again.

Great location close to heart of Port Douglas, price was OK but rooms were very outdated and didn’t reflect the advertising pictures. Floors have not been properly cleaned since the dawn of time.

Central Plaza was a great place to stay in Port Douglas. The location, facilities and owners were great. Our family had a lovely time. And loved our holiday. Little things made it even more enjoyable, like the pool toys and floaties and the BBQ facilities.

We stayed in 2 bedroom ground floor apartment with our 2 teenage boys. The apartment was just what we needed! Big spacious lounge area with huge smart TV, good size bedrooms, and 2 huge bathrooms. It was spotlessly clean throughout. The large outside BBQ area for guest use is well equipped. The heated pool was bliss! There was plenty of parking for our hire car. Rodney and Glenys were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The apartments are a 5 min walk to the beach and about 5-10 min walk to the shops/restaurants.|Would highly recommend staying here.

Very clean, reasonable location, great pool, good value. |It was a pretty usual holiday apartment. Clean well laid out. Pool was a great size and there was a great communal bbq. Good parking. Walking distance to main strip (25-20mins) and 4 mile beach (5-10mins). My gripe was that some or all apartments are privately owned. Normally no issue but there were young workers living there in groups. They were up at 5am heading off to work. Nothing wrong with that but the transfer of noise as per usual holiday apartments was not great. So those on holiday had to put up with the early morning exits and also noisy return from ‘after work drinks’. They were lovely people just going about their lives but it’s worth mentioning I think.

Great location, easy walking distance to the shops, restaurants and marina. The 3 bedroomed apt (No 13)we shared was spacious and well equipped. Plenty of cutlery and crockery for eating in and eating by the BBQ and pool. The bedrooms all have built in robes, an ensuite to the main bedroom and a shared bathroom for the other 2 bedrooms. The beds were very comfortable, and we all made use of the spare blankets in each room. The shower pressure was great and there was plenty of hot water. We used the BBQ by the pool a lot...there is plenty of room to cook...just remember to keep pressing the button so the gas doesn't go out!
