AT A GLANCE
Why go?
Stafford Lake Bike Park is the North Bay's first purpose-built public bike park, offering 17 acres of dirt trails, jump lines, and pump tracks designed for riders of every level—from wobbly first-timers to seasoned BMX racers.↗↗
Set within the larger Stafford Lake Park in Novato, this award-winning facility was built through a community partnership between Marin County Parks and the nonprofit Friends of Stafford Lake Bike Park. Since opening in 2015, hundreds of riders from across the Bay Area and beyond have made it their go-to destination for progressive, safe, and thrilling dirt riding.↗↗
What Makes It Special
Marin County is famously the birthplace of mountain biking, and Stafford Lake Bike Park carries that legacy forward with a dedicated, professionally designed facility that welcomes everyone from tiny tots on balance bikes to adrenaline-hungry dirt jumpers. The park's standout claim to fame is its dual slalom course—the only one west of Truckee, Nevada—giving intermediate and advanced racers a rare chance to compete head-to-head on parallel tracks side by side.
