AT A GLANCE
Why go?
Davraz Ski Resort (Davraz Kayak Merkezi) rises on the northern shoulder of Davraz Mountain above the town of Eğirdir in Isparta Province, one of Turkey's fastest-growing winter-sports centers and a genuine day-trip-and-stay option for the Mediterranean's Lakes Region. Declared a designated tourism center in February 1995, the resort sits on the Kulovası plateau at around 1,650–2,350 m, with the 2,635 m summit of Ulparçukuru overhead and the shimmering blue of Lake Eğirdir unfolding far below the slopes.↗↗
What sets Davraz apart is its setting and its sense of safety. The pistes face across the lake and the surrounding plain, snow depth typically ranges from half a metre to 2.5 m, and officials stress the absence of avalanche or getting-lost risk—making it as welcoming to first-timers and families as it is useful for intermediates and off-piste-touring skiers. Lifts carry you through three stacked terrain steps, and from the terrace of the 1,950 m mountain café you can watch skiers trace lazy S-curves down a white slope while the lake changes colour through the afternoon.↗↗
