AT A GLANCE
Why go?
Bosarpasjön is a small, shallow source lake sitting high on the Linderödsåsen ridge about 9 km southeast of Sösdala in Skåne, Sweden. Barely 5.5 metres at its deepest and ringed by reeds, water lilies and two low wooded islands, it has the calm, intimate feel of a countryside pond rather than a vast Scandinavian lake. What makes it special is how completely it has been shaped as a summer retreat: forested cottages, a old bathing spot and a vintage minigolf course give the water an easygoing, lived-in charm that rewards a slow day by the shore.↗↗↗
A visit is best treated as a gentle outing rather than a checklist of sights. Come to paddle or swim in the shallows, wander the reed-fringed shoreline for water birds, play a round of the lakeside minigolf that dates back to 1954, and picnic beneath beech and oak at the edge of the Skåne countryside. It is a place for families, birdwatchers and anyone who wants a quiet, distinctly Swedish lake-and-cottage afternoon.↗↗
