Sree Kallakar Thiru Kovil
Sree Kallakar Thiru Kovil is a small Hindu temple in the northern outskirts of Coimbatore, on the Mettupalayam–Thadagam road in the Pappanaickenpalayam suburb. Its name points to Kallazhagar, a beloved form of Lord Vishnu (worshipped locally as Perumal), so it reads as a quiet Vaishnava neighbourhood shrine rather than a grand tourist monument. The temple sits in a belt of the Coimbatore countryside that is dense with village shrines and is also the green approach road toward the western-ghat foothills—Thadagam, Kanuvai, Pannimadai and onward to the Velliangiri and Anaikatti hills. For a traveler, that location is the real draw: combine a calm darshan here with a drive into the farmland-and-hills country just north of the city.
