Henangervatnet
Henangervatnet is a long, deep and surprisingly low-lying lake in Bjørnafjorden municipality, tucked into the rolling forested highlands of western Vestland just a short drive from the Bergen fjords. At only 12 metres above sea level yet plunging to about 130 metres deep, it is one of the biggest and deepest inland waters in the municipality, and it serves as the heart of the Sævareidvassdraget, the river system that winds down to the sea at Sævareid. This is not a resort or a postcard viewpoint but a working, wild-feeling mountain lake: a prime spot for shore and boat anglers after brown trout, set in quiet country between the larger Skogseidvatnet and the Sævareidfjorden. It suits travellers who want a calm nature stop near Bergen's southern fjords rather than a crowded attraction.
