Öratjärnen
Öratjärnen is a small, deep forest lake set in the spruce-and-bog wilderness around Los, on the Hälsingland–Dalarna border in central Sweden. Tucked into Ljusdal municipality at roughly 405 metres above sea level, it covers about 30 hectares and plunges to just over 15 metres — a compact tarn whose dark, clear water makes it a quietly rewarding stop for anglers and anyone after stillness. There is no grand visitor site here and no crowds to fight: this is nature-as-usual Hälsingland, where the water drains through wooded hollows toward the stream Västerhocklan and on into the great Ljusnan river basin. The draw is the fishing and the silence — perch, pike and vendace in the lake, with winter turning the surface into a platform for ice anglers.
