Duboka Bay
Duboka Bay is a narrow, deep inlet tucked into the coastline just opposite Hvar Town, among the pine-wooded Pakleni islets. It is the kind of place most visitors reach from the water: a calm, sheltered stretch of clear Adriatic sea fringed by trees that run right down to the shore, far quieter than the beach bars of the island's main spots. What draws people here is the sense of seclusion rather than any development. There are no built-up facilities ashore, so the bay keeps a raw, natural feel that boat skippers and sailors prize as a swim stop or an anchorage on a hot afternoon.
