Lac des Brises
Lac des Brises is a small, officially named lake tucked into the boreal backcountry of Quebec's Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region, within the MRC de Maria-Chapdelaine. Far from any town, it is the kind of quiet pocket of water that draws people who want solitude, wilderness and a few hours of fishing rather than a built-up resort day out. At roughly seven hectares and sitting around 322 metres above sea level, it is small enough that the whole shoreline feels within reach. It belongs to a tight cluster of similarly named little lakes—Lac des Vents, Lac Épingle, Lac de la Belle Randonnée, Lac aux Caribous—spread across the forest of the Passes-Dangereuses and Chute-des-Passes sector.
