Lyngbønipa
Lyngbønipa is a modest 273-metre peak tucked into Bergen's western city mountains, just outside the Laksevåg and Fyllingsdalen suburbs. It is hardly a famous summit, and that is precisely its charm: a short, friendly local hike that trades the crowds of Bergen's big names for pine forest, a mirror-calm lake and a rewarding view over the Byfjorden. The classic outing is an easy-to-moderate loop of around 3.7 kilometres with roughly 280–300 metres of climbing, taking about two hours at a relaxed pace. It starts from the trailhead car park in Nipedalen, reached by a steep path up through the woods, and returns past the pretty Nipetjørna lake. On top, a mast marks the summit and the outlook sweeps across Lyngbø, the Byfjorden and the ridges of Lyderhorn and Ørnafjellet.
