AT A GLANCE
Why go?
La Colina MTB Park is a high-altitude mountain biking destination perched at nearly 2,930 meters in the hills above Granada, Cundinamarca — barely 30 minutes from Bogotá by the southern highway. It offers groomed singletrack for every skill level, an eco-walk through pine forest, a camping zone with mountain views, and a small restaurant where cyclists refuel after a hard ride.↗↗↗
With a 4.7-star rating from over 150 Google reviews and a strong presence on cycling platforms like Komoot, La Colina has become a go-to weekend escape for Bogotá's mountain-biking community — a place to ride, camp, eat well and watch the light change over the eastern cordillera.↗↗
What Makes It Special
La Colina sits on a ridge in the Vereda Carrizal area, close to the legendary Alto de Boquerón climb that has tested generations of Bogotá cyclists. But where the Boquerón is about road suffering, La Colina is about trail play: purpose-built MTB circuits with jumps, berms and cross-country loops that range from beginner-friendly to genuinely technical. At 2,928 meters above sea level, the air is thin, the wind can be fierce, and the views stretch deep into the Cundinamarca highlands. Visitors describe the atmosphere as peaceful yet energizing — pine forests on one side, open páramo-like sky above.
