Chadwick Park Fishing Pier

The Chadwick Park Fishing Pier is the land-based fishing spot at the heart of Englewood Beach at Chadwick Park, a Charlotte County park on the Gulf side of Manasota Key. You walk out over the sand on a long boardwalk and cast your line straight into the emerald shallows of the Gulf of Mexico—no boat required. It is one of only two Charlotte County public piers open to anglers since the recent hurricanes, so on many days it is the place the local fishing crowd gathers. Beyond the fishing, the pier frames the most developed and family-friendly beach on the key: smooth latte-colored sand, gently shelving water, a 900-foot boardwalk with covered lookouts, picnic shelters, courts, a playground and, as the day softens, some of the most reliable sunset views on Florida's Southwest Coast.
