Yangming Creek Riverside Trail
Tucked into the misty volcanic highlands above Beitou at roughly 670 metres, the Yangming Creek Riverside Trail is a 330-metre path that follows a tributary of Yangming Creek through the heart of Taipei's most celebrated flower-growing district. Built with natural stone masonry rather than concrete, the trail weaves between the stream and a canopy of cherry trees, sweet gums, and native broadleaf species, giving visitors an intimate, meandering walk with the sound of clear water at their shoulder. The trail links three signature experiences of the Zhuzihu area: the sulfurous plumes of Xiaoyoukeng (Little Oil Pit) fumarole, the looping Top Lake creek path, and the pedestrian lane circling Seven-Star Mountain. Walkers can stitch these into a gentle half-day circuit or simply enjoy the short, flat stretch on its own—children and seniors alike find it comfortable.
