Tasik Kelana
Tasik Kelana is one of the calm, leaf-ringed lakes at the centre of Taman Bandaran Kelana Jaya, the largest and best-known park in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. Set in the SS7 neighbourhood right beside the busy Kelana Jaya motorway, the green space spreads across a cluster of lakes threaded by jogging tracks and shaded paths—an easy, free escape where the traffic hum fades and the water catches the sky. Locals come here to walk, run, cycle and simply sit and watch the fish glide under the surface. The lakes are a small but living ecosystem—home to fish, turtles, monitor lizards and, by some accounts, otters—while open lawns and old Commonwealth-era buildings add a touch of history to a simple afternoon outdoors.
