귀산서원
Gwisan Seowon (龜山書院) is a restored Confucian academy in the rural hills of Hyeongok-myeon, on the outskirts of Gyeongju, dedicated to Seo Yu, a distinguished civil official of the late Goryeo and early Joseon periods. Founded in 1786 by local scholars, destroyed during the nationwide seowon suppression of 1868, and rebuilt in 1983, the academy today serves as a quiet place to understand the clan-based scholarly traditions that shaped Korea's Confucian landscape.
