Gärten der Welt
Gärten der Welt (Gardens of the World) is a sprawling park in Berlin's eastern Marzahn-Hellersdorf district where visitors can travel the globe in a single afternoon. With 22 garden installations designed by landscape architects from around the world — including faithful recreations of Balinese, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Islamic, Christian, and Jewish garden traditions — it is one of Europe's most ambitious collections of international garden art. A cable car carries you above the treetops with panoramic views over Berlin, while themed restaurants, an imaginative water playground, and regular concerts and events make this more than just a botanical stroll. Originally the Erholungspark Marzahn, the site was dramatically expanded for the International Garden Exhibition (IGA) in 2017, adding modern architecture, art installations, and new garden galleries.
