Mont Glas
Mont Glas is a 771-metre mountain peak and classified forest in the Toura Hills of western Ivory Coast, rising just west of the city of Man in the Montagnes District. While it lacks the fame of its neighbours — La Dent de Man or Mont Tonkoui — its forested slopes are part of the dramatic mountain backdrop that makes the Man region one of Ivory Coast's most striking highland landscapes. Designated as a forêt classée since the colonial era and actively replanted in recent years, Mont Glas represents both the ecological fragility and the conservation ambition of this corner of West Africa. The peak sits near Zadépleu, the village famous for its natural waterfall and traditional vine bridge, making it a natural addition to any hiking day around Man.
