Excellent location, just a 10-minute walk from the bus station and right next to the beach and the coastal boardwalk. The room was spacious, modern, and very clean. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. My only complaint is the door lock, which was quite difficult and unintuitive to use. I struggled to open the door every time, and I think replacing the locking system would greatly improve the guest experience. Other than that, I had a very pleasant stay and would happily recommend this hotel.

A Charming but Dated Gem in a Fantastic Location Let’s be honest this hotel is showing its age. The property could use a real upgrade; even a simple switch from traditional keys to keycards would go a long way. The 10:00 AM checkout is also disappointingly early and feels out of step with what most modern hotels offer. That said, a few things genuinely impressed us. Despite being above a pub, the noise was a complete non-issue we slept without interruption. The room had a decent view, and our personal highlight was a cockatoo that dropped by daily like a feathered concierge. Unexpectedly delightful. The real star, though, is the location. Restaurants, bars, and entertainment are literally steps away, which makes this spot hard to beat for convenience and atmosphere. Dated? Yes. Perfect? No. Worth it? Absolutely and we’d stay again.

I would not stay at Airlie Beach Hotel again and would not recommend it. While the room was clean and tidy, our overall experience was very disappointing. We were allocated a courtyard room, which was extremely noisy. There was constant noise from people walking past, traffic outside, and bright lights positioned outside the balcony that remained on, making it difficult to relax and sleep. The most concerning issue was the room allocation for my elderly mother. She is frail and has difficulty climbing stairs, yet she was placed in an upstairs courtyard room. When we raised our concerns and requested to be moved to a more suitable room, we were advised that no alternative accommodation was available. I was very disappointed by the lack of consideration for accessibility needs and the overall comfort of our stay. Unfortunately, this experience means we will not be returning.

Wi-Fi connection is not very smooth, but everything else is fine. Good location.

One of the best beach bars anywhere. Great location, good food, cold beer and epic music (Filthy Animals today). As good as the old Coolie used to be long ago.

Thank you Ty and team, especially the beautiful, friendly Irish ladies behind and in front of the bar who made me feel so welcome over the last few days. Enjoyed Rod's singing as well. Food, atompsphere and especially the service was excellent. Great time was had by all! James

Had a meal in the restaurant. It was difficult to order using QR code but the food and drinks were good, especially the fish of the day. The play list for the background music was absolutely bizarre!

Had dinner here 2 nights. Grewt live music, and pork ribs and chicken wings. Next time was again great service and atmosphere. Meals of lamb shanks, (more like hogget) and Barramundi grilled ( very ordinary ). Definately worth trying though as is reasonably priced and friendly atmosphere.
